Chief Operating Officer
Hilary Byatt is the Chief Operating Officer and Speech-Language Pathologist at Parkinson Voice Project. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas with a BBA and earned an MS in Communication Disorders from University of Texas at Dallas. She has over 30 years of experience in healthcare.
Hilary joined Parkinson Voice Project in January 2023. Most recently, she was a practicing clinician primarily in the home health setting, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of adults with deficits in language, voice, cognition, and swallowing. Prior to that, Hilary had executive positions with contract therapy providers, supervising regional staff and teams across many states. Hilary also led a post-acute population health project involving integrations for healthcare organizations to evolve the clinical practice of clinicians to an advanced clinical methodology focused on resolving patients’ safety risks and improving their ability to get their needs met safely and consistently.
In her role as Chief Operating Officer, Hilary leads and supports the clinical team charged with preserving the speech and minimizing swallowing deficits of individuals diagnosed with Parkinson’s and related movement disorders. Hilary also leads the medical office specialists who ensure new patients are timely scheduled for SPEAK OUT! evaluations/treatments, and current patients are assigned to weekly maintenance groups. She is eager to support our goal for every patient to maintain their voice and cognition at the level achieved at their SPEAK OUT! graduation. Hilary is genuinely humbled by the opportunity to play a key role in Parkinson Voice Project’s vision of making quality speech treatment accessible to people with Parkinson’s worldwide.
Hilary is a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist. She treats patients and conducts maintenance groups via teletherapy from Parkinson Voice Project’s clinic in Richardson, Texas. She holds the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA CCCs) and is licensed to treat patients in Texas.
In her free time, Hilary enjoys spending time with her husband, adult children, and 2 dogs. She loves cooking and traveling. Hilary is picking up an old hobby of golf and learning how to play Pickleball.
