Parkinson Voice Project is a nonprofit organization that helps people with Parkinson’s and related disorders regain and retain their speech and swallowing. Instead of charging for this training, we use Pay It Forward.

This is a 13 hour, self-study, asynchronous course, offered for a total of 1.3 ASHA Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
The course includes SPEAK OUT! efficacy research, evaluation protocol, demonstrations of in-person and virtual individual SPEAK OUT! Therapy and SPEAK OUT! Classes, sample treatment forms, and marketing tips. This training also introduces the unique Circle of INTENT, which guides patients to regain and retain their speech and swallowing for a lifetime.
The SPEAK OUT! Therapy Program Certification Course is in English, although the therapy materials have been translated into several languages. The course consists of 20 text and video modules. Satisfactory completion of this course consists of full attendance and 80% accuracy on the course assessment.
Video closed-captioning is available. A strong internet connection with a modern browser (Google Chrome is best) is necessary. SLPs have 30 days to complete the course.
Participants who wish to file a complaint must submit it in writing within 30 days of the course completion date.
This course will discuss the components of the SPEAK OUT! Therapy Program with limited to no information about like products or services.
