No. Parkinson Voice Project uses a Pay It Forward model for continuing education.
Parkinson Voice Project’s Continuing Education Program is fully funded by clinicians who came before you. Instead of charging a set fee, clinicians choose a Pay It Forward gift upon course registration. Your Pay It Forward gift helps train the next clinician and helps Parkinson Voice Project continue to offer ASHA CEU-approved courses.

You may register for the SPEAK OUT! Therapy Program Certification Course and the SPEAK OUT! Student Training Course directly from the website. The SPEAK OUT! Therapy Program Recertification Course, Live Webinars, and Grand Rounds are only available to Certified SPEAK OUT! Providers and can be accessed by logging into your SPEAK OUT! Dashboard.
After you complete registration and checkout, you will receive an email with instructions for accessing your course.
First, check your spam, junk, promotions, or other filtered email folders. If you still cannot find your course information, log in to your Parkinson Voice Project account and check My Dashboard. If you continue to have trouble accessing your course, contact [email protected].
Courses offered within the Litmos Learning Management System must be completed within 30 days.
During registration, you will indicate whether you want your ASHA CEUs reported. If you request ASHA CEU reporting and provide your ASHA number, Parkinson Voice Project will submit your completed course information to ASHA. Please note it can take up to 60 days for the CEUs to appear on your ASHA transcript.
Speech-language pathologists can become Certified SPEAK OUT! Providers by completing the SPEAK OUT! Therapy Program Certification Course and meeting the program’s certification requirements.
Certified SPEAK OUT! Providers must recertify every year. Annual recertification helps ensure that providers stay current with the SPEAK OUT! Therapy Program, including its clinical resources and procedures.
Log in to your Parkinson Voice Project account, go to My Dashboard, and look for the Recertification button in the upper-right corner. The button will display your annual renewal date and will become available 30 days before your annual renewal date.
You have a six-month grace period after your annual renewal date to complete the recertification course. Otherwise, you will need to complete the full SPEAK OUT! Therapy Program Certification Course.
The SPEAK OUT! Student Training Course is designed for speech-language pathology students and non-SLPs who are interested in learning more about the SPEAK OUT! Therapy Program. Students may only implement the SPEAK OUT! Therapy Program under the supervision of a Certified SPEAK OUT! Provider. Completion of this training does not designate the learner as a Certified SPEAK OUT! Provider. SLP students may take the full SPEAK OUT! Therapy Program Certification Course upon graduation to become Certified SPEAK OUT! Providers.
Parkinson Voice Project Grand Rounds are interactive, case-study presentations. Live Webinars are lectures that feature topics about Parkinson’s, speech-language pathology, communication, swallowing, and other professional topics.
After successful course completion, you can download your certificate in the Achievements section of the Litmos Learning Management System. For Zoom-based live courses, participants will receive a follow-up email that serves as proof of attendance pending full attendance.
Please confirm that you requested ASHA CEU reporting during registration and completed all course requirements. Allow up to 60 days for your CEUs to appear on your transcript.
ASHA CEUs may be accepted toward state licensure requirements, but state licensing requirements vary. Participants are responsible for confirming that a specific course meets the continuing education requirements of their state licensing board and any other credentialing organization.
