Parkinson Voice Project is a nonprofit organization that helps people with Parkinson’s and related disorders regain and retain their speech and swallowing. Instead of charging for this training, we use Pay It Forward.
Students click on a special donation link at the end of the course to help the next student receive training.
This training course is designed for SLP Graduate Students under the supervision of a Certified SPEAK OUT! Provider. It offers education about Parkinson’s Disease and the treatment protocol of the SPEAK OUT!® Therapy Program.
The course includes demonstrations of in-person and virtual individual SPEAK OUT! Therapy and SPEAK OUT! Classes, and more. It prepares students for their clinical practicums.
The SPEAK OUT! Student Training Course is in English. There are 19 text and video modules. Video closed-captioning is available. A strong internet connection with a modern browser is necessary (e.g., Google Chrome). Students have 30 days to complete the course.
