Metropolitan State University of Denver
MSU Denver’s Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MS-SLP) program launched in June 2022. Since then, we have been busy providing bilingual (English/Spanish) speech-language services for individuals who otherwise cannot access care. We receive a lot of requests for care from individuals in rural areas of Colorado because of our ability to provide telehealth services and because our services are provided free of charge.
We are one of three SLP training programs in Colorado, a state with severe shortages of SLPs, particularly those from diverse backgrounds and those who are able to provide services in the patient’s native language. Since our graduate program is heavily bilingual and proficient at using telehealth services, we are in a unique position to help bridge that gap.
